After much deliberation and discussions with experts across the nation we decided it would be best to keep the bottom planking original to design. A few planks have been replaced and refastened. The remaining planks are in serviceable condition except for the two forward most garboards. Bottom refastening is where we need to focus our future efforts. Most of the bottom is in need of refastening still. Only 10% of the bottom, under the chine has been refastened.
